Mark Cantin is the Lead Operating Executive – Insurance Distribution at GrowthCurve Capital. Mark joins the firm with over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry leading business strategy definition and execution, P&L oversight and turnaround, distribution and sales management, transformational change, and technology innovation on both the underwriting (carrier) and distribution (broker) sides of the business. He has extensive buy and sell side M&A expertise including successful acquisition integration of $4B+ in premium.
Most recently, Mark was a member of the Executive Committee and President of Field Operations at QBE North America, a division of QBE Insurance Group, one of the 20 largest global insurance and reinsurance companies. In addition to owning geographic P&L across North America and building out first of its kind regional operating model, he led development and execution of overall distribution management, go to market and marketing strategies to deliver profitable growth and establish the QBE brand in North America. Mark also served as a Chair of charitable Foundation at QBE North America.
Prior to joining QBE, Mark was Chief Marketing Officer at USI Insurance, one of the largest and fastest growing domestic brokers. He led P&C broking and placement activities with responsibility for enterprise-wide carrier/placement strategies, carrier management, all carrier relationships and growing carrier revenue for P&C and Employee Benefits.
Mark also served in various roles in his 20-year career with Liberty Mutual that included management of divestiture process for $2.2B book of business, build out of operating model for $155mm revenue agency, development of a national operating model for Regional Accounts and P&L management for $350mm region. Mark holds a B.A. degree in Economics from University of Connecticut.
