Ethan Cohen is a Managing Director of Data Science and AI at GrowthCurve Capital. Prior to joining GrowthCurve, Ethan led Ranking Data Science at Instagram, where he focused on the development of deep-learning systems that power personalized experiences across the app. During his tenure at Instagram, his product leadership spanned the delivery of content on core app surfaces, notifications, account recommendations, content understanding, feature incubation, and user acquisition.

Prior to Instagram, Ethan was Senior Director of Analytics at Rent the Runway, leading the company’s data science and business intelligence orgs across consumer, inventory, warehouse operations, and customer service. Earlier in his career, Ethan held analytics leadership roles at Jet.com and Walmart eCommerce. He began his career advising private and public company boards on incentive program designs at Pearl Meyer.

Ethan holds BAs in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Rochester, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he graduated with Dean’s Honors.
